About Our School
Situated some four miles from the centre of Northampton in the village of Moulton, Moulton Primary School is a warm, friendly and happy place to be.We are a large school with 420 children from 4 to 11 years. However, although large, we retain all the traditional values of a village school and remain in the heart of the community with our core values of respect, trust, compassion and tolerance. As Moulton community continues to expand, we will grow to provide places for the new children of the village to become a three-form entry school in 2016. We have 14 parallel classes, two in each year group, and aim to have a maximum of 30 pupils per class, giving us a school population of 420. We are currently over-subscribed and have waiting lists in most year groups, hence the need to expand.
The school is set in beautiful grounds with several play areas, a sports field, vegetable garden and environmental area. Our buildings are a mix of old and new - from the Victorian Early Years block, to the 1990s extension. Over the next two years, the school will extend further to accommodate an additional 30 children each year, beginning in Reception. This will be achieved with the building of a brand new wing of nine classrooms, bringing the school firmly into the 21st Century.
