Queen's 90th Tea Party Celebration

On Sunday, the school band participated in a celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday tea party. It was a great afternoon, even though the weather was a little gloomy! The children performed a selection of pieces that they had learnt throughout the year and were heavily congratulated by the public for their outstanding performance. Well done to all those involved.

If you would like to come and support the band, we are performing at a finale concert on Monday 20th June, 6pm at Spinney Hill Theatre (NSG). The band were selected to perform here after our winning performance at the Northampton Festival.  Entry is free to all, come and join us. It will be a great night.

Year 5 Trip

“Time Flies” when you’re practising an assembly!

This week Year 5 presented their curriculum assembly on the theme of “Time” as part of their “Time Travellers” topic for the term.  The children spent a great deal of TIME rehearsing, learning words, making costumes and props, honing their acting skills, refining their dance moves and singing songs – beautifully!  Everyone complimented the children upon their commitment and team work in this project and the staff were incredibly proud of their achievements.  We congratulate the Year 5 children on their performances and anticipate that this will definitely not be the last TIME that some of these youngsters tread the boards!

Thanks also go to Mrs Dickens, Mrs Hardwick and Mrs Smith for their sterling efforts in the props dept. and a special mention must happen for Mrs Muddiman who could obviously show John Travolta a thing or two on the dance floor!
