Yesterday evening’s School Prom Concert the perfect way to spend a summer evening. It was lovely to see families relaxing in the sunshine with their picnics enjoying entertainment. We heard impressive solo and group performances from our musician groups and Wind Band, the three choirs from across the school entertained us with their favourite songs, the Year 2, Year 4 and Year 6 ‘Strictly’ groups wowed us with their quick-steps the ‘Gymtastic’ Team somersaulted across the field to huge applause.
By taking part in the performance, the children have shown many important qualities that will help them in their future lives. They had the confidence to step on the stage and perform to a large audience - something many adults would not enjoy doing; they showed their ability to work as part of a team - to support and encourage one another; and they showed their commitment to practise their instrument every night or to turn up every week and attend the club - important qualities for their future success.
Thank you so much to everyone that took part and to parents for supporting them. Also a huge thanks to the staff, particularly Miss Ludlow and Mr Law, for having the passion and enthusiasm to put on this fabulous event.
