Welcome to our News in Brief page! Here we will celebrate some of the fantastic activities around our school in words and pictures.

Moulton’s Artsmark Journey

We are pleased to announce that Moulton is now working towards becoming an ‘Artsmark’ School. Artsmark is an award granted by the British Arts Council, to those who demonstrate their commitment to embedding arts and cultural provision at the heart of their school. Within Artsmark, ‘art’ is considered as a broad term that extends across art and culture. Examples may include dance, drama, visual arts, digital media, film, cultural heritage and music. Studying the arts provides tangible benefits for children by contributing to their wellbeing and developing both their intellectual capacity and their practical skills. Through further developing our quality arts and cultural education we endeavour to provide every child with the opportunity to create, compose and perform as well as to visit, participate and review extraordinary work across our curriculum topics. Artsmark is an award for schools who demonstrate their commitment to embedding arts and cultural provision at the heart of their school.

Fabulous World Book Day

The children and staff really enjoyed dressing up as their chosen characters to celebrate World Book Day. After our sharing assembly, we spent the morning in our ‘Rainbow Classes’, where the children carried out a number of book related learning activities. Then, every time we heard Miss Ludlow playing her cornet, we all ‘dropped everything to read’ our books.

Thank you to parents for supporting the children with their costumes and to the staff for being so creative!
