Welcome to our News in Brief page! Here we will celebrate some of the fantastic activities around our school in words and pictures.

New Library for Moulton Primary School

On Monday, we celebrated the opening of our fabulous, new school library with a special assembly and ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by staff, governors, FOMPs and a child from each class.

Over the past year, the school has worked hard to raise the funds for the library, which was installed over the summer break in the old 1A classroom. We are very grateful to FOMPs and parents for their support, without which this project would not have been possible.

The library is dedicated to the memory of our school governor, Elizabeth Hammond, and her daughter Sophie was chosen to cut the ribbon. A special plaque has been installed on the wall in the library to commemorate the contribution that Libby made to the school in her time as a governor.

Reception get Muddy!

This week the Foundation Stage children went on their very first school trip! We went to Muddy Education in Holdenby and had an incredible day. The children enjoyed a nature trail (to help find ‘Harry’ the hedgehog), pond dipping and a minibeast hunt. We were amazed at all the animals and creatures we discovered. We learnt so many facts and loved all the hands on experiences. The children’s behaviour was impeccable and they handled the creatures with care… even if they were a little wriggly. Great work Jellyfish, Dolphins and Turtles, we are very proud of you!  The children returned to school to share ‘We had the BEST day EVER!’ - Mrs Head.
