On Thursday last week, we celebrated World Book Day. Children and teachers across the school made a huge effort with their costumes. The day consisted of lots of exciting activities all centred around reading from class reading swaps, creating character profiles to a book treasure hunt in the library. The children had great fun and it was fabulous to see everybody taking such great enjoyment from books.
On Tuesday last week, we met together in our Rainbow Classes for an afternoon with a musical theme. Rainbow Classes are our special classes formed with a few children from Year 1 to Year 6. We hold these each half-term so that the children from different year groups can spend time together; this helps the younger children build their confidence around the older year groups. For this session, the children learned three new songs which we all sang together in a special assembly at the end of the day.
