In the autumn term we elect our new School Council and this year we modelled our elections on the British democratic process. In the preceding weeks, children that wished to be considered for election planned their campaigns for this important role. There were posters in the classroom and around the school sharing ‘manifestos’ and children gave presentations to their classes stating what they would offer if selected. On Polling Day, each class went to the polling station (Conference Room) and awaited their turn to complete their ballot paper and vote for their chosen representative. The ballot papers were collected and the votes counted to appoint the 2015-16 councillors!
